Ralph took up music at a young age and played in various bands throughout his teenage years. Upon leaving school he toured in a Beach Boys tribute for a year and since then has been working on his own repertoire. He is a talented multi-instrumentalist and most of the songs he performs are his own. Influences include Neil Young, Nick Drake, Billy Bragg and Bob Dylan.

He also plays in power-pop combo Junebug, who gig regularly around the North West. He has also recorded with Tim Wheeler, lead singer of Irish rock band Ash.
